Each was out of its box for less than 72 hours, then repacked in its original Janome carton. They are like-new in appearance after this brief classroom use, but we sell them accurately as used open-box units, not new.

The class these machines came from
Chris Murphy of Simply Classic taught a two-day bag-making class at our event center using five HD8s alongside our Continental M8, HD9QC and HD9 V3 machines. We unboxed and set up each machine, students sewed bag panels and straps on it for the two class days, and we repacked it. Unboxing to repacking, including setup and overnight time, took less than 72 hours. That class is the machine's only use.

Janome's published specifications for the two are close. Janome highlights eight ball bearings on the HD9 and lists it higher. If price matters most, the HD8 gives you the same headline speed, foot pressure and hook.

No. It was unboxed and sewn on during one two-day class, then repacked. We sell it as used.
Does it include a warranty?
Yes. The full Janome manufacturer warranty is included. These machines have not been registered to a retail owner, and warranty documentation is supplied with the machine.
Will I receive a machine like the one in the photos?
We show photographs of the actual classroom machines and disclose any cosmetic marks before they are offered for sale.
