HIGH-VALUE EQUIPMENT PURCHASE POLICY – THREAD WORKS

This High-Value Equipment Purchase Policy applies to all equipment and machinery purchases with a retail value of $1,000 or more (“High-Value Equipment”).
By purchasing High-Value Equipment from Thread Works, you agree to the terms below in addition to our Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, and Return Policy.
1. ORDER VERIFICATION & APPROVAL
All High-Value Equipment orders are subject to manual review and approval prior to shipment.
Thread Works reserves the right to:
• Verify billing and shipping information
• Require phone confirmation
• Request government-issued identification
• Request written authorization for the transaction
• Cancel or refuse any order deemed high-risk
Orders may be delayed pending verification.
Failure to complete requested verification may result in order cancellation and refund.
2. PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION
By submitting payment for High-Value Equipment, you confirm:
• You are the authorized cardholder
• You have reviewed all specifications and compatibility
• You understand this is a large equipment purchase
Thread Works uses fraud screening and transaction monitoring for all high-value orders.
3. SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS
All High-Value Equipment shipments:
• Require adult signature confirmation
• Are shipped fully insured
• May require direct delivery (no forwarding services)
• May not be shipped to P.O. Boxes
Delivery is considered complete upon carrier confirmation and/or signature.
4. RISK OF LOSS
Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon confirmed carrier delivery.
Thread Works is not responsible for:
• Theft after delivery
• Packages marked “Delivered”
• Customer-provided incorrect addresses
• Delivery location insecurity
Customers are responsible for ensuring a secure delivery environment.
5. RETURN CONDITIONS FOR EQUIPMENT
In addition to our standard 14-day return policy, High-Value Equipment returns must meet the following strict conditions:
• Item must be unused and uninstalled
• Factory packaging must be intact
• All original accessories, documentation, and components must be included
• Serial numbers must match shipment records
• Equipment must not show signs of operation or setup
Returned equipment will be inspected upon receipt.
Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25%.
Improperly packaged returns resulting in damage will be denied.
6. SERIAL NUMBER RECORDS
Thread Works records and maintains serial numbers for all High-Value Equipment shipments.
Any attempt to return equipment with altered, mismatched, or missing serial numbers will result in denial of return and may be reported.
7. INSTALLATION & OPERATION RESPONSIBILITY
Customers are solely responsible for:
• Proper installation
• Electrical compatibility
• Safe operation
• Following manufacturer guidelines
Thread Works is not liable for damage caused by improper installation or misuse.
8. CHARGEBACK & FRAUD PROTECTION
Thread Works maintains comprehensive documentation for all High-Value Equipment transactions, including:
• Order confirmation
• Fraud screening results
• Delivery confirmation
• Signature verification
• Serial number tracking
Invalid chargebacks will be disputed using this documentation.
Fraudulent disputes may result in:
• Permanent restriction from future purchases
• Reporting to payment processors
• Pursuit of available legal remedies
9. WARRANTY
High-Value Equipment may be covered by a manufacturer’s limited warranty.
Thread Works does not provide additional warranties beyond those expressly stated by the manufacturer unless specified in writing.
Warranty remedies are limited to repair or replacement per manufacturer terms.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thread Works shall not be liable for:
• Indirect or consequential damages
• Loss of business income
• Project delays
• Installation-related damages
Total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the equipment.
11. FINAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By completing checkout for High-Value Equipment, you acknowledge and agree that:
• You have reviewed all specifications
• You understand the verification and shipping requirements
• You accept the return and restocking terms
• You agree to comply with all applicable policies
