R Point – Standard Sharp
• Best for cotton & woven fabrics
• Clean, precise stitches
• Ideal for general quilting & ruler work

FG – Ball Point
• Best for knits, minky, fleece, stretchy fabrics
• Pushes fibers aside to reduce holes
• Great for T-shirt quilts

High-Speed Sharp
• Reinforced for longarm speeds
• Reduces skipped stitches
• Excellent for dense designs & heavy use

📏 Needle Sizes – Quick Guide

90/14 – Fine Threads (50–60 wt)
Detail work, minimal hole size

100/16 – Everyday (40–50 wt)
Most common all-purpose size

110/18 – Heavier Threads
Better over seams & denser quilting

120/19 – Thick Quilting
For 30–40 wt threads

130/21 – Thickest Threads
Stops skipped stitches with bold thread
Needle holes disappear after quilting

When to Change Size

• Skipped stitches → go UP one size
• Thread shredding → try High-Speed Sharp
• Knits/minky → choose FG Ball Point
