What Makes These Needles Different?

Unlike the round-shank needles used by most Handi Quilter longarm machines, 130/705H needles have a flat side on the shank. Handi Quilter documentation identifies the 130/705H system as a flat-shank option on compatible machines and specifies a dedicated long needle-bar thread guide and pointed needle-clamp screw for proper installation.

Compatibility

These are 130/705H flat-shank needles. They are not a replacement for the standard 134 round-shank HQ needles. Important Installation Note

Compatible machines require the correct long needle-bar thread guide and pointed needle-clamp screw for the 130/705H flat needle. Do not install a flat needle using the short round-needle guide and non-pointed clamp screw.
